The average tattoo removal treatment takes between 1-5 minutes for average-size tattoos, and the pain experienced decreases almost immediately once the treatment is completed
A. Your body needs plenty of time to heal and break down the ink, so we schedule appointments about 6 to 8 weeks apart. Treating your tattoo more frequently will not remove it faster and can lead to skin irritation, scarring, and calcification, locking the ink in place.
A. Following laser tattoo removal treatments, immediate whitening (known as frosting) of the treated area typically occurs and can last from several minutes to 30 minutes. It's common to experience superficial heat blisters, bruising, and swelling. Crusting or scabbing may appear within 12 to 72 hours, lasting 1 to 2 weeks or longer. As the scab separates, the treated area may become pink or pale. While scarring is unlikely, it's possible. Temporary loss of skin pigment in the treated area is common. Healing typically concludes within 6 to 8 weeks.
A. No. Keep it clean and leave it alone! If thermal blisters appear please call the office, we are happy to provide care. Apply sunscreen or keep it covered to minimize sun exposure during removal to avoid hypo or hyperpigmentation of the skin.

A. The swelling is your body's reaction to the laser which is desired and expected. Your body is sending blood and water to rebuild collagen in your face to heal it from the inside out. This reaction should only last a day.
A. Yes, the laser has evaporated the water in your skin. Dryness will depend on your skin type. We want your body to send blood and water to your face, so do not use moisturizers on the first day
A. This treatment will not trigger much peeling but skin might feel rough, it all depends on how much dead skin you have been exfoliating before your treatment, or if you have had laser treatments before.
A. Yes. if necessary use Tylenol.
A. Remember, your skin is being rejuvenated from the inside out. It may take 1 month to allow your skin to totally replace all the cells to see full results.
A. Non-ablative treatments are more effective if performed in a series of sessions. We have found that an effective series involves 3 to 4 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Acne scarring may require more treatments.
